LiquiMoly Jectron Additive

Jectron by LiquiMoly is a fuel additive that works as a fuel injection cleaner. With the use of 1 bottle it will eliminate starting difficulties, irregular idling, poor throttle response, performance losses, lean surging and poor exhaust values. One of the stated side effects is lower fuel consumption due to more efficient injectors.

EDO Performance decided to test this product in their 2009 C63 AMG. The 2009 C63 AMG has a 6.2 L V 8-cylinder, Rear Wheel Drive 7-speed Automatic, making 451 hp @ 6800 rpm, and a factory estimate of 12/19 MPG. The 2009 C63 AMG currently has aftermarket Tomioka Racing Exhaust and headers, with 75,000 miles on the car. With the use of 1 bottle on a full tank of gas, we saw an evident change with the use of Jectron. Almost immediately, the C63 AMG saw increased fuel efficiency with a gradual increase of about 5 miles to the gallon, from 13.5 to an increase of 18mpg. Not only that, the car ran much smoother with improved throttle response and idling. EDO Performance has never been big on fuel additives and often questioned their stated claims and value.
