Motul Classic Performance 20W-50 High-Zinc Mineral Engine Oil 2L Pack of 9
Motul Classic Performance 20W-50 is a premium mineral multigrade engine oil developed for classic vehicles built primarily between 1950 and 1970. It is suitable for compatible 4-stroke gasoline and diesel engines, including naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines with carburetion or fuel injection.
The specialized formula combines more than 1,800 ppm of ZDDP zinc with molybdenum additives to protect high-load valvetrain components, including flat-tappet camshafts, high-lift cams, lifters, pushrods, and rocker arms.
Its medium-detergent formulation, strong shear stability, oil-consumption control, and SAE 20W-50 viscosity make it well suited for compatible classic and high-mileage engines.
This package includes nine 2-liter bottles, providing a total of 18 liters for restoration shops, collectors, professional workshops, and multiple classic-vehicle services.
WHY THIS OIL:
The high-ZDDP formulation above 1,800 ppm provides enhanced anti-wear protection for older engine designs with flat-tappet valvetrains and high-contact-pressure components.
Molybdenum friction modifiers work with the zinc additive package to strengthen the lubricating film and reduce friction between heavily loaded moving parts.
The SAE 20W-50 multigrade viscosity improves cold-start circulation compared with monograde oils while maintaining a strong protective film at high operating temperatures.
Its medium detergent level is designed for compatible classic-engine lubrication systems and elastomer gaskets.
Excellent shear stability and oil-consumption control support high-mileage engines that may consume thinner lubricants.
The oil leaves a protective film on internal engine components during extended storage and winterizing periods.

FITMENT AND COMPATIBILITY NOTE:
Use only in engines where SAE 20W-50 mineral engine oil and API SF/CC performance are appropriate.
This product is formulated primarily for classic-engine technology used between 1950 and 1970, but vehicle age alone does not confirm compatibility.
Verify the required viscosity, API category, oil capacity, engine condition, valvetrain design, ambient temperature range, and service interval before use.
The high zinc content makes this oil particularly suitable for many classic flat-tappet engines, but it may not be appropriate for modern vehicles equipped with sensitive emissions-control systems.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This oil carries an API SF gasoline-engine rating and is generally not suitable for most gasoline-powered automotive engines built after 1988 unless explicitly permitted.
Use in an incompatible modern engine may not provide the required protection against sludge, oxidation, emissions-system damage, or wear.
Change the oil at least once per year, with shorter intervals based on mileage, contamination, fuel dilution, operating conditions, and storage frequency.
It can be mixed with compatible mineral or synthetic engine oils, but a complete oil and filter change is preferred when changing lubricant types.
