HP Tuners Universal Credits
HP Tuners Universal Credits (Credits Only)
Universal Credits are used to purchase licenses for supported vehicle modules/controllers in the HP Tuners ecosystem. Licensing a module gives you the ability to write modified tune files to that module using an HP Tuners interface (MPVI2/2+/3/4). Credit requirements vary by vehicle and module.

How Credits Work
- HP Tuners uses a credit-based licensing system—credits act as currency to purchase licenses for different modules in a vehicle.
- Many vehicles are (2) credits to license the ECM/PCM and may require additional credits for modules like TCM (or others depending on the vehicle).
- Once a vehicle/module is licensed on your interface, you can tune it indefinitely as long as key identifiers don’t change.
Confirm Your Credit Cost
Credit cost depends on your exact year/make/model and which modules you plan to license. Check the supported vehicle list for current requirements: HP Tuners Supported Vehicle List.
Important Notes
- You can typically read, edit, and save tune files without purchasing credits—credits are needed when you are ready to license and write to a supported module.
- Vehicle licenses are tied to identifiers such as VIN/controller details (see HP Tuners licensing info for specifics).
Digital Item Policy: Universal Credits are a digital product. All digital product sales (including credits) are final and non-refundable once purchased/processed. Please confirm how many credits you need before completing your purchase.
Tip: If you’re unsure what to buy, Edo Performance generally recommends starting with at least two credits for many vehicles, then verifying module requirements on the supported vehicle list.
