Motul 8100 X-Cess Gen2 5W-40 is a high-performance synthetic engine oil developed for powerful gasoline and diesel vehicles equipped with naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines and indirect or direct fuel injection. The current product specification carries ACEA A3/B4 and API SQ performance with multiple European manufacturer approvals.

Its high-HTHS SAE 5W-40 formulation provides strong oil-film protection, detergent and dispersant performance, oxidation resistance, and viscosity stability under demanding operating conditions.

This is a full-SAPS ACEA A3/B4 oil and may not be suitable for diesel engines equipped with particulate filters that require a low- or mid-SAPS ACEA C-series lubricant.

For Volkswagen applications requiring VW 505 01, use an oil specifically carrying that specification rather than VW 505 00.

Do not substitute this product for applications requiring BMW Longlife-04, VW 504 00/507 00, Porsche C30/C40, or another emissions-system-specific specification unless the vehicle manufacturer expressly permits an alternative.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended oil-change interval and adjust it for severe service, high temperatures, extended idling, short trips, fuel dilution, towing, or track use.

This lubricant can be mixed with compatible synthetic or mineral engine oils, but a complete oil and filter change is preferred when changing products.
