Q: What is Hondata FlashPro?
A: FlashPro is Hondata’s tuning and datalogging system for supported Honda/Acura vehicles. It lets you read/flash calibrations and log engine data so changes are measured—not guessed.

Q: Can EDO Performance install FlashPro for me?
A: Yes. We install FlashPro, handle initial setup, confirm communication, and make sure you’re ready to datalog properly.

Q: Do I need to bring a laptop?
A: For installation and basic setup, we can handle it. If you want to manage maps/datalogging yourself afterward, bringing a laptop is helpful (Windows is commonly used for many tuning suites). If you don’t have one, we’ll still get you operational and explain next steps.

Q: Do you sell FlashPro and install it the same day?
A: Often yes if it’s in stock and your vehicle is supported/ready. Some late-model applications may require an ECU unlock/jailbreak process first.

Q: Do you offer dyno tuning for Hondata?
A: Yes. We offer dyno service for baseline pulls, verification, and tuning validation. If you’re looking for a real improvement you can see on a graph, this is the right route.

Q: What’s the difference between a baseline pull and a tuned pull?
A: A baseline pull shows your current power/torque and how the car behaves. A tuned pull shows the result after calibration changes—so you can compare before/after with data.

Q: How long does a typical dyno appointment take?
A: It depends on your setup and goals. A simple baseline/health-check session is quicker; custom tuning and refinement takes longer, especially if we’re solving drivability issues or dialing in bolt-ons.

Q: What should I bring to a dyno session?
A: Bring fresh fuel (the fuel you plan to run), your wheel/tire setup you actually drive on, and confirm there are no mechanical issues (boost leaks, overheating, slipping clutch, etc.). If you have current mods list and any prior datalogs, bring those too.

Q: Can you dyno my car if it’s not Hondata?
A: Usually yes for baseline pulls/verification, but Hondata-related tuning support is strongest when the car is on a compatible Hondata system.

Compatibility / ECU Unlock / Prep

Q: Is FlashPro compatible with every Honda/Acura?
A: No—compatibility depends on the exact model/ECU. If you tell us your year/make/model/trim and any ECU info, we’ll point you to the correct Hondata solution.

Q: What is “ECU unlock/jailbreak,” and do I need it?
A: Some newer ECUs require an unlock step before aftermarket tuning tools can flash them. If your platform requires it, we’ll tell you upfront and help you plan the cleanest path.

Q: Will my car pass emissions with Hondata?
A: That depends on your local rules and your setup. Some configurations are for off-road/racing use only. We’ll keep it practical and transparent based on your goals and location.
